“I can wholeheartedly say that Akshita will be a true blessing to any individual or team she works with in the future. She has all the qualities that anyone running a business or creating a project from scratch would look for. The thing that appeals to me the most is that she’s very fun to be around, super kind but also always gets the job done. She maintains an incredible balance between amicability and professionalism. Another reason why Akshita would forever be one of my favorite people to work with is because she helped me get back on track when I was slacking. It was my vision that she was helping me build and usually in cases like that, you as the visionary need to keep your team motivated and bring them back to focus when they drift off because it is truly asking too much of your team members to have the same drive for your vision which is why I really appreciated her letting me know when I was not living up to my potential.
She really went above and beyond as that’s something you don’t see often. Akshita is also extremely versatile. She has done everything from creating content, graphics, brainstorming, making contracts, designing websites, designing labels, marketing and many more. She is always up for the task and enthusiastically at that and I truly believe that anyone would be lucky to have the opportunity to work with her.”
Kashfia Mahmud, Founder of Girls Support Girls
Girls Support Girls is the place to shop for everything pink, purple, and sparkly!! Their cosmetics, jewelry, and self-care products are vegan, cruelty-free, and personalized. The brand aims to empower women of ages 15-25 to be unapologetic, opinionated, authentic, selfless, and passionate. Kashfia plans to discuss unconventional topics on blog posts and podcasts, wants to cater to the “it” city kid, and always delivers the most value to her customers.
As a part of Girls Support Girls, I was a creative director. I provided Kashfia with brand materials, designed labels for cosmetics and self-care products, organized product rollout strategy, and established GSG’s website. Follow their social media handles! They wanted the brand to exude a bold, feminine, and unconventional feel, so I used specific shades of pink, purple, gold, silver, and black. Fonts Montserrat and Sugar&Spice gave that bold and feminine look that Kashfia and I discussed in our planning meetings. My design inspiration was straight from GSG’s content to give them the most authentic branding experience!
